Horsing around with my friends...

One thing I really enjoy about being around the barns
is the people I meet and the resulting friendships! This part
of my scrapbook will be for posting some pictures of those people
and their equine pals! So...say hello to some of my "horsey" friends...

Amanda and Dante!

This is my friend Amanda and her nice Oldenberg gelding, Dante. We've been friends since...well...forever I guess! We have been neighbors since birth and are lucky enough to be enjoying our love of horses together as well! These photos were taken on one of our cow penning outings! Isn't Dante a handsome boy? You can get to know them both better at Amanda's website.

Amy and Justin!

Amy and Justin!
Yes...you're seeing spots!

Well...I was all set to post a picture of my pal Amy and the very cute pinto she's been leasing...but then Justin became hers!!! It was sort of unexpected! Justin is her young appy gelding that she has known and loved since he was born! She (and I) couldn't be happier! I'm looking forward to watching them at the shows! I met Amy in 1997 while still riding Flicka at Harper Valley Farm. You can read more about Amy and her equine endeavors at her website.

Anne and Grady!

Cedar and Me with Anne and Grady!
The above photo is of Cedar and me with
Anne and Grady in Freedom Farm's huntfield!

We have so much fun with Anne and Grady! I've been lucky enough to have Anne as a friend since about 1997! She aquired her sweet Thoroughbred gelding, Grady, just shortly after I got Cedar. Anne and Grady have been great pals in the arena...on the trails...at shows...on the road...and everywhere in between! Anne and Grady share the same warm, generous spirit...making them so much fun to be around.

Liz and Grateful!

Here's a photo taken of my friend Liz and her Thoroughbred gelding, Grateful at a summer, 2001, 4-H show! They are showing off the Reserve Grand ribbon they had just won. I've known Liz since grade school. We aren't riding at the same barn anymore and I miss seeing her and showing with her as much, but I do still see her frequently. I go out and support her at shows when I can...plus Liz and I still attend the same school...so we can exchnge news and information there. My "wildest" trail rides have always been with her!

Hey...job well done!
