I'm a high school student, living in the Puget Sound region of western Washington state.

I started riding in the late summer of 1995 when my mom arranged for me to start taking lessons...in a barn she had ridden in as a child! She had horses while growing up and wanted me to have the same opportunity. She says her checkbook has regretted it ever since!

I am an animal lover...having had as pets and companions: dogs, cats, mice, rats, frogs, fish, salamnders, goats, and of course horses! I'm still not clear about exactly what direction I'll be headed as far as a profession goes, but I can't imagine not somehow being involved with animals.

Riding, training, and showing my horse takes up the bulk of my time outside of school, but I do have a couple of other interests. These include training and working with our dog, photography, drawing, and collecting model horses.

I don't show my models, but I do enjoy making tack for them and photographing them. I usually try to take pictures of them in natural settings.

My drawings are more "stylistic" than realistic. I do outline drawings, transfer them to the computer and then add the color.
